Project Description
A New View Painting completed a detailed interior repainting project for a home in the Erie Village neighborhood of Erie, CO. The work focused on refreshing key areas of the home, including the main level and two bathrooms on the upper level. Our team repainted walls, ceilings, baseboards, and door casings while also priming and finishing several wood features throughout the home.
Special attention was given to areas such as the wood railings, mud room bench, and bead board paneling in the powder bath. We used Stix Primer for strong bonding on previously finished surfaces. For the final coats, we applied Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Semi-Gloss on trim and Sherwin-Williams Emerald Satin on walls and ceilings.
The full interior painting project took five days to complete and came to $13,500, covering prep, priming, and finishing across the selected spaces.
Background / Story:
Maisie and Phil had recently moved into their home in Erie Village. The house had great interior details, but some of the trim still carried the older brown and orange stain tones that were popular years ago. They had started repainting parts of the home themselves, but with young kids and busy work schedules, the remaining rooms became difficult to finish.
After looking into local painters, they reached out to A New View Painting based on positive reviews from other homeowners in the Erie area. During a few planning meetings, we walked through the remaining spaces and helped refine the scope of the work. They wanted a fresh, lighter look with a few bold accents to add personality to the home.
Together, we finalized colors that worked well with Sherwin-Williams Alabaster, already used in parts of the house. A vibrant blue called Waterloo was added to the front door, fireplace, and mud room bench to create contrast, while the powder room used Dried Thyme, a rich earthy green that suited the smaller space perfectly. Once the painting began, the couple quickly saw how much preparation and detail goes into a professional repaint.
