Project Description
A New View Painting recently completed a stunning house painting project in Erie, CO, transforming a Vista Ridge basement. Over six days, our team brought Steamboat mountain-inspired charm to life, finishing the 1,300 sq. ft. interior with a combination of stained and lacquered woodwork, beautifully painted walls and ceilings, and primed and painted cabinets.
We completed detailed painting for new window and door openings on the exterior to tie in the indoor and outdoor aesthetics seamlessly. This $12,000 house painting project exemplifies craftsmanship and attention to detail at every step.
Background/Story:
This project was extra special as it was for a repeat customer who trusted us to recreate the elegance of their Steamboat, Colorado, mountain property in their Vista Ridge basement. The clients had a clear vision for their space: a cozy, warm design connected to their love of mountain living. From the first conversation, we knew this project would challenge us to deliver our best, solidifying our reputation as reliable house painters in Erie CO.
The dark-stained Alder wood trim and door package was a showstopper, with a rich, dull-rubbed lacquer. A Worm Wood Maple Ceiling, separating the bar/theater area from the game room, became a feature piece after three coats of lacquer and meticulous sanding, achieving a smooth-as-glass finish. These thoughtful touches created a warm, inviting atmosphere that reflected the clientโs vision, highlighting the artistry of professional house painting.
One of the standout elements was the Bar Cabinets, painted with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Satin Enamel in Domino. The choice of Dominoโa bold, chocolatey hue brought warmth to the space, complementing the dark woodwork, flooring, and lighting. We guided the client away from the more common Tricorn Black to achieve a distinct and harmonious look.
We opted for Dover White in a Cashmere Eggshell finish for the walls and ceilings. The same warm tone created a cohesive, cozy, and bright environment, perfectly aligning with the overall aesthetic.
