A New View Painting recently completed a cabinet painting project in the Anthem Ranch neighborhood of Broomfield, CO. Over two days, our team refinished a set of basement cabinets that didn’t match the style of the home. Using Stix Primer and Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Semi-Gloss in Black Fox (SW 7020), we gave the cabinets a smooth, professional finish that tied in beautifully with the home’s main floor kitchen.

Background / Story:

Mick and Mary Jo weren’t fans of the natural hickory cabinets their builder had installed. They loved their darker, lacquered kitchen cabinets upstairs and wanted the basement cabinetry to match. Since we had worked on their exterior in the past, they trusted us with this new project.

The challenge was finding the right color to closely resemble the dark stained wood in their kitchen. After scanning the cabinets with our Sherwin-Williams color tool and testing a few samples, we landed on Black Fox SW 7020—a near-perfect match. From there, it was all about prep, precision, and applying our spray-finish process to achieve that high-end look they were after.

Scope of Services:

• Cabinet Painting: Complete repaint of basement cabinets in Anthem Ranch.
• Prep Work: Removal of hardware, cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking to create a flawless base.
