Project Description

This Gauntlet Gray Stucco Repaint was completed by A New View Painting for Daniel and James in the Prospect neighborhood of Longmont, CO. The eight-day project included full exterior painting of the home and detached garage, along with minor stucco, trim, and flashing repairs.

The stucco was finished with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Exterior in Gauntlet Gray SW 7019 with a flat finish. Windfresh White SW 7628 in satin was used on the designated exterior trim and detail surfaces.

The full exterior painting project was completed for approximately $23,000 and included detailed preparation to address several issues left from the original construction.

Background/Story

Daniel and James wanted to update their 20-year-old home while correcting several exterior issues that had never been fully resolved. These included minor stucco cracking, loose trim, and paint that had not adhered properly to flashing near the roofline.

Because they planned to stay in the home long term, preparation and coating selection mattered. A New View Painting reviewed the stucco condition, coordinated colors with their designer, and selected a painting system suited to the existing surfaces.

Results

The finished exterior gave the Prospect home and detached garage a coordinated Gauntlet Gray and Windfresh White color scheme. Minor stucco cracks, trim alignment issues, and problem flashing were addressed before the final coatings were completed.

Daniel and James were especially pleased with the final walkthrough. Daniel reported that he could not find a single item that needed touching up, even after reviewing the completed project closely.

The work was finished on schedule in eight days for approximately $23,000.
